Season:
May - October A demanding loop that follows Telephone Ridge and Long Ridge before plunging down to Five Points Creek (southwest corner of loop) and then returning up to the road on Evans Trail. The route follows two-track ATV trails except for some sections of singletrack. A serious hike-a-bike is required of the steep and rocky part that goes down to Five Points Creek and then back up. The loop circles the Fiddlers Hell drainage, visiting it once for some hike-a-bike fun.
Trial Notes
- The trail can be accessed by driving up Fox Hill Road and continuing right at the main intersection on Road 3120 toward Mount Emily Summit. For an extra long warm-up, ride from La Grande.
- The ATV trail starts a little ways down Road 450, which is a left hand turn off Forrest Road 3120. The ATV trail is on the left immediately after crossing the creek.
- It is important when arriving at the creek, to walk downstream a few yards and then begin hiking straight back up the trail on the next ridge on the trail. The trail at the creek is difficult to follow.
